It’s that time of the year again when all the toddlers are lured to attend school for the free candies and cakes, when the corporate hubbub actually calms down for a day, the milkman and newspaper vendors are finally able to take an off & listening to “Mere Desh Ki Dharti” on FM gives us goose bumps. I am quite sure you’ve already figured out it’s the 15th of August we are referring to. A very HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY everyone! It’s such a privilege to be born in this terrific country.
Now, I know y'all might be wondering none of this is practical this year owing to the global pandemic but hey, a little dressing up doesn’t hurt whilst we collectively hope for things to get better.
This Independence Day, we are presenting “styling tips” to style this Tricolour Dupatta where sky is the limit, literally. However, our favourite look would be to pair it with a white kurta and palazzo/leggings and throw on this beauty over it. Simple and elegant! It’s quite obscure for a girl to not own a white kurta however just in case, it will look just as elegant with black and all the colours already on the Dupatta. You are sure to find one of these colours, and if not, dissect your mother’s closet girls and trust me, you will not return disappointed. Also, don’t forget to throw in a pair of oxidized jhumkas for that added appeal.
